I primi dettagli sulla prossima patch per Need for Speed Shift sono stati rilasciati. La patch sarà incentrata sul risolvimento di alcuni bug, sui miglioramenti di stabilità e prestazioni del gioco, così come un migliore controllo delle vetture. I giocatori su PC saranno contenti di sapere delle migliorie prestazionali dovute ad un uso migliore del buffer dei dynamic vertex e di un supporto esteso per le schede grafiche ATi.

La patch oltre a tutto ciò, aumenta il supporto per un numero massimo di giocatori online da 8 a 12.

– Fix for Corvette Z06 and Dodge Viper not able to move at the start of some events
– Fix for some upgraded AI cars bottoming out causing some instability over bumps

– Fix for intermittent missing surface sounds on certain PC configurations

– Fix for LAN menu hang for client when host quickly returns to main menu
